Although the TEC-Forum 2026 took place a few weeks ago, we are still feeling the waves it created!
From 7–11 September 2026, the international TEC community came together at Europahaus Wien under the theme “Voicing the Future and Shaping Tomorrow Together.”
Over three intensive working days, trainers, National Agency officers and SALTO officers exchanged experiences, ideas and perspectives on the future of the support trainings (TEC) for volunteers and Quality Label organisations – one of the key features of the European Solidarity Corps. Together, we explored questions that are becoming increasingly important for our work: the strategic role of volunteering and TEC in the evolving European programme landscape, safeguarding and peer support, new European priorities, and the competences trainers will need in the future.
The programme offered plenty of space for exchange and collaboration: continuous working groups, expert inputs, dialogue with a representative of the European Commission, a dedicated Tool Fair, presentations of methods and approaches, and many opportunities to develop new ideas together.
One of the most valuable aspects of the Forum was once again the strong sense of community.
The TEC Forum has a long history, with previous editions taking place in Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Estonia, Poland, Germany and Lithuania. After Vienna 2026, we are already looking forward to the next chapter in 2027, organised by SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus.
